This initiative aimed to bring together the leaders of ASCs in our country, including

representatives of the public and private system, and promote a discussion of the most current topics and new challenges, related to Outpatient Surgery, at a national level.

The meeting was attended by 328 registrants and was considered another great scientific

success, which will certainly contribute to the development and growth of AS in Portugal.

Several round tables were held with lectures dedicated to different topics by the 67 members of the Faculty and 25 free communications were presented.

The scientific program also included 3 practical workshops, that contributed for practical training in different areas. APCA thanks everyone who collaborated and supported this Meeting, namely ULS de Tamega e Sousa, Council of Penafiel, the Local Organizing Committee and all the companies that

sponsored us.

Penafiel 2024 will certainly remain in the memory of the history of APCA and AS in Portugal.
